Services We Currently Provide

Basic Life Support Training: Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. Teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy can also be added as additional certifications to this course.

Advanced Life Support Advanced Life Support: Classes are available via our innovative program, which combines online coursework with an in-person skills session – so you can take them when and where you like – and on the device that suits you best. Throughout the course, our interactive scenarios will help you understand the science behind ALS and the finer points of providing care, and improve your clinical decision-making skills. After passing your final written exam, you’ll attend an in-person skills session – where you’ll meet with a certified Red Cross instructor and demonstrate your ALS skills. After passing both sections of the course, you’ll receive a two-year ALS certificate.

Standard First Aid: Queen Vicher offers standard first aid and CPR courses. All standard first aid classes are accompanied with CPR training. standard first aid includes CPR level “C” is coupled with this course, however, candidates may choose the option of having CPR – HCP co-delivered with their standard first aid. All standard first aid courses include AED training and workplace certification.

Monitoring Request: This is the final stage in achieving your instructor status with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The WIEE is an approved monitoring site and has a specific process to request monitoring through our organization.

Due to the high demand of monitoring requests, WIEE requires you to fill out the application request form below. You will be required to provide 5 dates that you are available for monitoring and we will take these dates and check what we have available.

Mask Fitting Test: Respirator Mask Fit Testing from Safety First Training meets CSA Standard Z94.4 Respiratory Regulations that certifies N95, half mask and full face mask fit tests. This Respirator Protection Training session is focused on the importance of proper respirator protection, the selection of the appropriate mask for the workplace, inspection of the mask, proper mask fit and seal test, cleaning and storage of the masks. If you are a healthcare worker, a proper N95 Mask Fit Testing program is required when treating patients with diseases like COVID-19 or when you are trying to reduce the risk of exposure to airborne viral transmissions. Our trainers are 3M Certified for Respiratory Mask Fit Testing.

Shadow A Class: Shadow teaching is when an educational paraprofessional, like a teaching aide or assistant, works directly with young students who have learning differences to improve their classroom experience.A shadow teacher typically works with students in preschool or elementary school and understands childhood development, behavior management techniques and the schoolwork of their student’s grade level.

They often work with only one student and accompany that student to each of their classes throughout the day to ensure the student gets the attention they need to succeed.

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

The PALS for Healthcare Providers course is designed to teach the skills needed to assess and administer care within the first 10 minutes of a pediatric cardiac arrest. Providers learn the skills needed to manage advanced cardiac life support scenarios: respiratory emergency, various types of cardiac arrest (simple VT/VF, complex VT/VF, PEA (Pulseless Electrical Activity) and asystole), pre-arrest emergencies: stable and unstable bradycardia and tachycardia.

Learn-How-to-Teach Training (crash course for teaching): With a few simple tips, techniques and adaptations, we can give the learners a truly rewarding experience. In this course, I aim to help you adapt your delivery to the online world.You probably don’t have time for lengthy professional development courses. In this course, we shall explore the existing skill set you have.

How to set up a good base at home to teach from. Some teaching theories which are relevant. How to adapt your existing resources for online delivery. How to find new resources. Above all, we will look at how you apply all of this knowledge to enable you and your learners to move online. This should be a stress-free transition which allows you to maintain your high, professional standards.
